When considering all the various options and techniques that are available that can teach you how to stop snoring, it can become a bit confusing due to the plethora of medical opinions on the subject. Essentially, loud and continuous snoring is a problem that literally more than a billion individuals on planet earth live with. It is most commonly caused because your breathing tracts, either upper or lower, become partially obstructed while sleeping which leads to loud vibrations in the tissues associated with the throat. If you are still reading this article, it means that you, or someone close to you, has to deal this issue and is most likely looking for a workable natural way to stop snoring. If this is the case you should read on, because the following ideas might offer you a few tricks about some fantabulous stop snoring remedies, the non-surgical way.

Lets first look at some of the fundamental reasons for chronic snoring. A number of things can lead to snoring. some of these include smoking late at night, consuming alcohol right before bed and being overweight as a result of poor dietary habits and little to no exercise. Cutting down on these bad habits is, in many cases, the best stop snoring remedy, but yeah, it’s easier to say it than to do it. Many people also snore because they rest in the wrong position throughout the night, or because the pillow they use facilitates incorrect breathing. Either of these scenarios can lead to the tongue and associated tissues to move towards the back of your breathing passage and cause substantial blockages to occur while drawing in air.

There is also a nifty stop snoring remedy most folks have no idea about, despite the fact that it’s free and pretty much anybody can do it: What is it? Music of course! There’s already a great chance that you like to sing anyway so doing it more often isn’t going to add any signifigant elements of change to your existing routine. By exercising your vocal chords and singing your favorite tunes for even a short period of time every day you can assist a lot in the strengthening of areas connected to the tongue and throat, thereby keeping them from moving around too much when sleeping.

Even if the thought of listening to your own singing is a scary proposition, it’s still not that big a deal. There is also the option of getting involved with playing a musical instrument which will could do wonders for exercising those important muscles. Such instrument options are the trumpet, the mouth organ, or, for Scottish music fans, the doodle-sack.

As you play with an instrument over time you will be doing a heap to assist the muscles and tissues of your respiratory tract and abdomen in becoming stronger. If you can devote yourself to something like this you’ll be fairly impressed at how fast the changes in the volume and consistency of your snoring will decrease due to how much stronger the muscles associated with your tongue and throat will become.

Snoring is the sound made by the vibration of your airways when the air does not distribute smoothly through them. I am quite certain that if you’re taking the time to study what’s written here that it means you or a person you know is looking for the best snoring solutions to combat this affliction for good, in a natural way, which this overview aims to provide.

What are some of the things that determine if you’ll consistently snore? Well, it can be a side effect of smoking tobacco, or of the use alcohol late in the evening and last, but certainly not least, it can be caused by an unhealthy lifestyle which involves no physical activity, and a chaotic diet based on junk food instead of healthy meals. So it would be in anyone’s best interest to eliminate, as much as possible, these areas from the day to day routine. Of course that’s easier said than done, I know. A number of people also snore because they stay in the wrong position throughout the night, or because the pillow they use facilitates incorrect breathing. Either of these scenarios can lead to the tongue and associated tissues to move towards the back of your breathing tract and cause substantial blockages to occur while drawing in air.

Another outstanding snoring remedy that nobody ever thinks about is something that anybody can do and doesn’t require any money! I’m talking about Music! There’s already a good chance that you like to sing anyway so doing it more often isn’t going to add any signifigant elements of change to your existing routine. Operating your vocal cords for a little bit every day or even every second day will not only be a blast, but it also strengthens your throat muscles, and that, as simple as it seems, is a great stop snoring remedy.

Perchance you’re hesitant because you don’t have the greatest voice in the world, that listening to yourself sing out loud is not the most exciting prospect for you, but don’t worry. There is also the alternative of getting involved with playing a musical instrument which will could do wonders for working out those important muscles. All types of different instruments can be exploited for this purpose, some of the most popular options are the trumpet, harmonica and saxophone.

As you play with an instrument over time you will be doing a heap to assist the muscles and tissues of your respiratory tract and abdomen in becoming stronger. Keeping at this on a consistant basis strengthens them and that way, they assist your tongue and jaw in staying still during sleep, which is what you’re ultimately trying to accomplish. Pretty cool huh? At last, by thinking about some of these best snoring solutions, the idea of finally being able to sleep in peace and quiet will become a reality!

I’m in a “retro” mood today, and thought I’d share some of the experiences that people shared with me at that time. I think you’ll find them interesting…and maybe familiar. What’s amazing about these comments is that some of these people have gone on to beat their CPAP through the treatments described in my book.

Here are some of the struggles that people were having:

“As I suffer from a severe anxiety disorder and depression I cannot relax and sleep normally using my CPAP. I can’t get to sleep without the use of sleeping tablets, it is so bad. I have been diagnosed as having serious sleep apnea. Please help.”

“I am concerned about the whole issue regarding sleep Apnea. I have done some research and i am most concerned about the overall long term affects of this condition stressing certain biological functions of my brain, arteries, heart etc etc. I am pretty sure I suffer from this condition and really need some help in aiding me to recovery. I am fed up and so very tired so please someome give me some help, contacts and information that can help myself and family.”

“How come, after using my CPAP for about 5 years, some mornings I wake up feeling like I did before I got my machine?”

“I have a CPAP machine but find it very difficult to use. I move a lot at night and the mask always comes off or moves and I get air rushing into my face.”

Now, my question for you: do these people sound like the situation you’re in right now? If so, I encourage you to take your health into your own hands, and take a serious look at my ground-breaking 10-part mini-course: Check it out here

As with most other health conditions, surgery is the last resort to stop snoring. If surgery is suggested, it is likely you suffer from a serious breathing problem. Surgery removes the obstruction causing labored breathing so you get more oxygen and stop snoring at night.

Before surgery is suggested, you are likely to go through various natural remedies, OTC treatments and/or prescriptions with no success. Your doctor may even suggest you get fitted for an oral device. When these methods fail, surgery is an alternative.

Types of Snoring Surgery

There are many types of snoring surgery based on your anatomical problem. A soft palate, nasal deformity, misaligned jaw or tongue might be the cause of your breathing obstruction. When the cause is determined, a surgery or surgeries are recommended. Surgery might remove your tonsils, adenoids or other soft tissue to open up your breathing passageways.

Possible snoring surgeries include:

- UPPP (Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty);
- UPPP and Stanford Protocol Operation;
- LAUP (laser-assisted UPPP);
- CAUP (cautery assisted UPPP);
- CAPSO (cautery assisted palate stiffening operation;
- somnoplasty;
- Repose;
- Restore;
- nasal surgery;
- balloon sinuplasty; and
- tracheotomy or tracheostomy.

Your physician will discuss surgery with you before you make a final decision. The surgeon tells you the procedure, what will be removed and the recovery time so you can make an educated decision about your treatment.

Snoring surgery is a radical way to resolve your problem once and for all.

Snoring Surgery Concerns

Snoring surgery concerns are much like the concerns you have during any other surgery. There are always possible risks and side effects such as excessive bleeding or infection.

Another concern is whether snoring surgery is covered by health insurance. In some instances, snoring surgery is considered cosmetic and may not be covered by insurance. Contact your insurance carrier to verify whether snoring surgery will be paid for by your policy.

Snoring Surgery Recovery

Some snoring surgery has a minimal recovery period of a few days while other surgery may have you resting for weeks. Discuss the recovery period with your doctor so you know what to expect.

Are there more ways to stop snoring? Our 10-part mini-course will give you an overview of some of the major ways to stop snoring and some great snoring exercises to try, but there are many secrets we can’t reveal in just 10 days!

In “The Silent Sleep Method”, you will discover what causes snoring, why you snore, what treatments, remedies and devices are available to help you stop snoring, and how you can stop snoring in as little as 7 days. Click Here to learn more about this informative book.

Finding an effective solution to help stop snoring can seem like an endless merry-go-round after a while. Take it from me, as a recovering loud snorer myself, I know first hand how experimenting with all the supposed “miracle snoring cures” can become just as irritating as the condition itself. This is why most snoring sufferers eventually resign themselves to putting up with it and letting it continue.

If you knew the long-term health risks associated with chronic snoring however (not to mention how incredibly bothersome it can be for your partner), you might think again. So if you’ve already tried a bunch of stop snoring remedies, but still need more help, consider your nutrition and exercise habits as a first line of defense in avoiding, or a least seriously reducing your loud snoring.

Good nutrition and proper exercise are the foundation of good health. We know proper eating means we won’t be overweight or undernourished. When we exercise, our organs work better and we feel improved overall well-being. The right nutrition and regular exercise can also help you breathe better and stop snoring. Are you eating the wrong foods before bed? Is your sedentary lifestyle at the bottom of your snoring problem? Maybe!

Nutrition to Stop Snoring

They say you are what you eat. If you eat the wrong stuff, you become a labored breather and heavy snorer. What do you eat before bed? Your alleged sleep allies may actually be enemies. Do you drink warm milk before bed? Grandma used to suggest a glass of warm milk before bedtime and now it’s a habit you should break. Consuming dairy products before bed produces mucous. This mucous build-up makes it more difficult to breathe, causing you to snore.

If you absolutely must have a glass of warm milk before bed, try soy or rice milk as a snore-free alternative. Do you have a glass of wine or beer before bed? While an occasion drink is relaxing, having one before bed might be the reason you snore. Alcoholic beverages relax our throat so we snore more. Consider an alternative such as ice water to quench your thirst without making you snore.

Exercise To Stop Snoring

Weak respiratory and circulatory systems make you more likely to snore. When you can’t get oxygen, you struggle to breathe. This struggle in your sleep causes you to snore. Get at least 20 minutes of exercise 4 times a week. Move around, stretch and get your heart going. Take a walk, go swimming or dance around in your living room. Get your body moving to build your respiratory and circulatory systems. Better breathing means no more snoring. Besides, you look and feel better when you exercise regularly.

Of course there is a lot more to it than can be handled in a short article like this. To learn a lot more about how a natural approach can help end your snoring for good, simply sign up for the 10-part How to Stop Snoring mini-course available on this site. It’s jam packed with a ton of useful information on how to eliminate habitual snoring. Good Luck!

If you suffer from persistent snoring, it might be caused by the shape of your mouth or jaw. To combat this, some effective anti-snoring device options have been developed in recent years.

Mouth and dental products aimed at shifting the position of your mouth, tongue or jaw to improve breathing while you sleep, are starting to become more popular with habitual snorers everywhere.Perhaps these would be a good solution for you as well. When OTC supplements and prescriptions don’t work, it is time to consider more aggressive methods to stop snoring.

Dental Devices To Stop Snoring

Dental devices called mandibular advancement splints are used to help you stop snoring. The devices advance your lower jaw and pull your tongue forward to help you breathe better and stop snoring. Dental devices also prevent patients from grinding their teeth.

Usually you consult with a specialized dentist to get a customized dental device for snoring. Often patients with sleep apnea are given a fitted dental device to shift the position of the mouth to stop snoring.

You can also try over-the-counter dental devices. Most OTC dental devices are made from EVA polymer like the mouth guards worn by athletes. These dental devices can be reheated and molded into a comfortable position.

There are few side effects from using dental devices. You might experience some gum irritation, excess salivation, tempormandular joint disorder or gradual movement of the teeth. Sleep apnea patients might also be given a CPAP machine to use during the night.

CPAP Machine to Stop Snoring

A CPAP machine provides continuous positive airway pressure. A CPAP machine is a small device about the size of a shoe box. Your airways are kept open by the CPAP machine pumping a controlled stream of air through a hose to a mask worn over your nose, mouth or both.

The CPAP machine is set up on your night table and provides the ongoing air you need to sleep peacefully without spurts of stopped breathing. What if customized devices do not solve your snoring problem?

Let’s face it – Habitual snoring is a pain in the you know what! And it’s an affliction that millions of people around the planet suffer from. I used to be one of those people. Come to think of it, I have been the poster boy for snorers anonymous…but I digress. The simple fact of the matter is that if you want to figure out how to stop snoring at night, you’re going to need to put in a little effort.

You see, there is no magic snoring pill to cure you of your snoring. If there was, there wouldn’t be so many snorers in the world! And though the solution to chronic snoring isn’t always an easy process, there are plenty of things that you can start doing now to drastically help calm the condition. So let’s take a brief look at some of the better ideas for fixing it.

Some Good Snoring Remedy Tips Are:

1. Try re-positioning your head when sleeping at night. For many, poor sleep posture can be a major reason for snoring. this is especially true for those who like to sleep on their backs. Unfortunately this causes your head to stay in a position that can force the tongue to slide back into the airway, causing an airflow blockage. This leads to excessive vibration as you breath making you snore loudly. To combat this try sleeping on your side or elevating your head slightly as you rest.

2. Another huge reason people snore has to do with being overweight. The fact is, if you are significantly overweight, it’s almost certainly magnifying your snoring problem. By losing even a little bit of that excess weight you can often reduce your snoring a great deal. If you are a really loud snorer and could stand to shed some lbs, then it’s a terrific motivational push to do so. not to mention how much good you’ll be doing yourself by improving your overall health!

3. One of the best ways that I learned when trying to cure my own snoring issues were doing throat and jaw strengthening exercises. This probably helped me more than anything else to be honest. Because snoring is often the result of airway obstruction and soft palate vibration caused by lose and flaccid muscle tissues, it behooves you to strengthen and tighten those muscles up.

Try doing this exercise every day for a week: Sit in a comfortable position with your head facing upward. Next, press your tongue against the roof of your mouth fairly hard and hold it there for 10 seconds then relax. Do this 4-5 times every day. After a week of doing this you might be surprised at how much this helps calm your snoring. Of course there are many other exercises you can perform, but this is a great one to start with

4) Other remedies include using throat sprays or mouth guard devices, and in extreme cases, surgery. Though this last option only applies to a small fraction of snorers. Also, you could use some natural home remedies that often prove to helpful in helping snoring.

To learn more about these remedies in greater detail, I encourage you to sign up for the Free “Silent Sleep Method” mini-course available on the right hand side of this page. It’s chalk full of information that you’ll want to learn about to help end your snoring permanently. Good Luck!

Natural methods help you stop snoring without unwanted side effects. Some people prefer to use natural treatments to handle
breathing problems, snoring and other health issues. This article will discuss a natural snoring cure that you’ve probably never heard about, I know I never had, before a friend of mine I met in Australia a couple years ago, shared it with me.

Let me begin by saying – it was always my preference to try natural snoring remedies as I began searching for solutions to my own snoring affliction in the past (solutions that ultimately worked by the way), and the reason why I compiled everything I learned on my wild ride towards a non-snoring lifestyle into the information packed and Free, “Snoring Remedies” mini-course I have available on this page.

Sometimes natural cures have funny names. What can a neti pot or a didgeridoo do to help you stop snoring? Let’s find out what they are and how they might make it possible to get a peaceful night’s sleep.

A Neti Pot To Stop Snoring

A neti pot is a unique little device that looks like a tiny teapot. Usually a modern neti pot is made of plastic or ceramic. Most
people choose an unbreakable neti pot for its convenience. Your local pharmacy or mass merchant typically sells neti pots in
the same area as the decongestants and other nasal relief.

The neti pot is filled with warm water and a special salinesolution mixture. The saline solution is flushed through your
sinuses to get rid of congestion. It takes a few tries to get the right angle on the neti pot to make the saline solution rush
through your sinuses.

As the saline solution goes in one nostril and out the other, congestion and mucus will come out. You should use a neti pot over the sink to catch the used saline solution and mucus. Have a towel handy to wipe your nose and face after using a neti pot.

You will be amazed at how clear your nose feels after using a neti pot. What if a neti pot isn’t enough to relieve congestion and stop snoring? Well, you might want to consider taking up the didgeridoo!

A didgeridoo is an Australian wind instrument. A study revealed playing a didgeridoo helps strengthen the throat muscles for better breathing so you don’t snore. You can get similar relief from playing another woodwind instrument or simply singing out loud. Belt out that show tune in the shower to breathe easier and stop snoring!

Congestion is uncomfortable. Your nose is runny and you can’t breathe. When you suffer from congestion at bedtime, snoring is inevitable. As your nose gets stuffier, your breathing is more labored. The result can be a non-stop barrage awful noise throughout the night.

Some people prefer to employ techniques that will help them to stop snoring naturally, to get rid of congestion. Medication or nasal sprays might have side effects for certain snorers. Fortunately there are a host of natural, simple ways to relieve congestion so you can stop snoring.

Of course, if you’re really serious about taking care of your snoring problem as soon as possible, I’ve compiled a ton of valuable information you need to know into an easy-to-follow, 100% FREE mini-course guide that you can sign up for Here.

It’s all about taking care of your snoring naturally and quickly without the use of harmful drugs, or expensive surgery. Here’s a small taste of what’s revealed inside:

1. Identifying the exact underlying reason why you snore.
2. Why snoring is more harmful for your health than you might think
3. Proven and affordable natural remedies for snoring
4. Quick and easy ways to cure snoring for good
5. How to take care of your snoring problem in 7 days or less

The reason it’s so effective for so many people is because the system deals with all the different underlying reasons for snoring. You are bound to find something that works for you.

Nasal Strips To Stop Snoring

Have you ever seen someone with a strip across the bridge of their nose? Did you wonder what they were wearing on their face? It was probably a nasal strip for better breathing. Nasal strips make breathing easier without taking a pill or squirting something up your nose. You can purchase over-the-counter nasal strips at local pharmacies, grocery stores and mass merchants.

Using nasal strips is a breeze. You just open the package and apply the adhesive nasal strip to the designated area of your nose. The nasal strip opens up your nasal passages to clear the way for oxygen to come through.

Snorers apply nasal strips right before going to bed. This painless method makes breathing smoother so you don’t snore. Consider mentholated nasal strips for extra relief. There are no major side effects from using nasal strips. The adhesive used on certain nasal strips may irritate your skin. Trying another brand might help.

Humidifier To Stop Snoring

Dry air can make it harder to breathe. A humidifier adds moisture to the air so you breathe better and don’t snore. Humidifiers are filled with water and plugged into an electrical outlet to slowly add moisture to the air as you sleep. Some humidifiers have a soothing menthol scent option. Adding a humidifier and nasal strips can offer the breathing relief you need to stop snoring.

Some people are very surprised to find out that there are common and simple natural cures for snoring that they already have in their home, but just simply aren’t using. Sometimes, unless something is specifically labeled as a “snoring cure,” it gets overlooked.

Many people snore because their nose is stuffy and their throat is sore, and when they breathe through their mouth, this causes the sound we call snoring. And the drier your throat and more clogged your sinuses, the worse your snoring is going to be.

So as an example, if you look in your medicine cabinet, chances are you have something that has menthol or eucalyptus such as a bag of cough drops or a jar of cold ointment. This type of product is great for opening up or unclogging your sinuses and for soothing your throat. Although advertised for colds and coughs, they also work great for chronic snorers.

If you snore, try having one of these menthol or eucalyptus cough drops before bedtime, being sure to finish it before you go to sleep so you don’t choke. Use some of the cold rub either on your chest or under your nose. You might also consider keeping the jar by your bed so that if it wears off in the middle of the night, you can refresh it a little bit.

Some people even find that by leaving the lid off of the jar, this menthol smell helps to keep their sinuses clear all night. Try stocking up on a few jars as it will evaporate eventually when left uncapped all night; they’re not that expensive of course, so give it a try.

As another method of relieving your snoring, consider putting a pot of water on the stove and letting it simmer. Hold your face over it and breathe deeply (make sure the water isn’t too hot and that you don’t hold your face too close, of course). This helps to clear your sinuses and relax your bronchial tubes. It also adds moisture to your entire respiratory system, which helps alleviate snoring as well.

If you live in a very dry area or it’s the cold winter months, you can keep the pot simmering for some time during the day. This will help to keep your lungs healthy with warm moisture. If your lungs are healthy all day, you’ll be more prepared to sleep soundly throughout the night. Some have found it helpful to put a small fan behind the pot of water in order to make the steam circulate throughout the home.

Of course, you need to be careful that you don’t let it boil down or accidentally leave the house with it still
simmering! But many have reported that their snoring decreases greatly when they try that.

So there you have it – two very easy, very simple snore remedies that you probably already have in your own home. Neither is difficult to try and certainly not expensive, so why don’t you give one or both of them a try? Who know, you could be getting a great night’s sleep as early as…tonight!

For those who are desperately trying to eliminate snoring form their lives, I have some great news! Most people know that habitual snoring is directly related to being overweight, but guess what, you can lose that bothersome weight a little easier now thanks to some new clinical research in the weight lose field. It’s been shown recently that Fat in our diet isn’t nearly as evil as has been supposed for so many years.

Why Fat Is NOT Your Enemy!

Have you heard the news? Fat phobia is out of fashion! People are finally realizing that it’s time to enjoy the flavor and satisfaction that fat provides as part of a balanced diet.

Fats are an essential component of healthy meals and necessary for good health. Our body requires fats for healthy cell membranes, nervous system function, heart health, and to modulate inflammation.

Not only are fats necessary, they add flavor and texture to foods and help you feel satisfied! “Balanced” is the key word here.
Fat intake should be moderate and part of a varied, healthy diet. Essentially it comes down to focusing on healthy fats in reasonable portions.

Guidelines for Eating Fat

- Fats are the most calorie-dense of foods, supplying 9 calories per gram of food

- 25-30% of total calories should come from fat. This is about 600 calories and 66 grams of fat.

- Less than 10% of this should come from saturated fat, 200 calories and 22 grams

- Consider your daily “fat budget” and spend it on healthy fats!

- Aim to keep a healthy balance between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids.4:1 is an ideal ratio; the typical modern ratio is 20 to 30:1! Too many processed vegetable oils (omega-6) can encourage inflammation.

- Avoid hydrogenated oils and artificial trans-fats! Many processed foods from deep-fried items to microwave popcorn contain trans-fats.

- According to the FDA, products with less than 0.5grams/serving can label their product “0 grams trans-fat”! Read the ingredient list thoroughly. If you avoid processed foods you can avoid artificial trans-fats

- Fats are very sensitive and easily destroyed by heat and light. Buy cold-pressed oils in dark glass. Store away from heat sources and ideally in the refrigerator.

- Fats are a fact of life, as they’re in all of the foods we eat. The key is to understand HOW to include fats in your daily diet.

The Free Silent Sleep Method mini-course that’s available to sign up for on the right hand side of this page tells you all about how to incorporate these fats into your diet for greater weight loss, which will ultimately help you a lot in your battle to eliminate snoring from your live for good! The program also includes dozens of “good fat” recipes, and much more.

If you suffer from chronic snoring or are the partner of someone with this irritating condition then like me at one point in my life, you too are probably looking for ways to stop snoring permanently. The simple fact of the matter is that chronic snoring robs you and your loving partner of a very valuable thing – deep continuous rest.

I was in that exact same spot several yeas ago. As an obnoxiously loud snorer myself, the long disruptive nights I put my wife through really started to take it’s toll on our relationship. It got to the point where I had to find a way to stop snoring, or my wife would start sleeping in a separate room. And that simply wasn’t an option in my mind! So I set out to to learn all I could about how to resolve this affliction.

After researching all the different stop snoring products that were available including surgical options, I made up my mind to find a natural remedy that would cure me. This was mainly because I didn’t want to deal with the long-term discomfort of having to use a snoring pillow, nasal drops, or an anti-snoring mouth-guard on a nightly basis. And I certainly didn’t want to go through the horror of a surgical procedure. So I would like to share with you some of the most valuable tips I learned in my journey to solve my snoring predicament the natural way.

The single most important thing I discovered had to do with weight loss. You see, most really loud snorers can attribute the their condition to a large degree on being overweight, I certainly know this applied to me. The reason for this is because excess weight means excess fatty tissue build up around the muscles in our body, and the throat and tongue are no exception.

When this happens the upper and lower airway tracts become restricted causing the soft palate to vibrate excessively. This is what causes the obnoxious sounds called snoring. When I lost weight my snoring decreased significantly. Could you stand to lose a few extra pounds? It might just have a huge impact on your snoring too.

Another common cause of snoring has to do with improper sleep posture. Most chronic snorers tend to sleep on their back. This causes the tongue to slide back into the throat, thus causing a potential blockage of the airway. One of things that really helped me was making sure my head was slightly elevated as I slept. This allowed pressure to be taken off my airway and helped air to be drawn through my upper airway tract more continuously and smoothly as I rested.

Another critically important key to remember has to do with drinking alcohol and smoking right before bed. Drinking alcohol shortly before going to bed will depress your central nervous system, causing the muscles in your throat to become very flaccid, which means that all those tissues associated with the tongue and soft palate can vibrate like crazy…not good! And smoking right before bed will contribute to excessive mucus build-up that will also seriously hamper airflow as you sleep. So don’t drink or smoke before going to sleep, ok.

These are just a few of the ways to stop snoring that helped me as sought answers. There’s a lot more to it, especially when it comes to different exercises you can do to help strengthen the muscles in your throat and jaw that will really help out.

Unfortunately I don’t have enough time in this article to cover it all, so I encourage you to sign up for my Free 10-part mini-course that explains it all in a lot more detail. It’s jam packed with some pretty amazing information that I’ve been able to glean during the hundreds of hours of research into this subject.

If your interested in the most effective sleep apnea remedy, we need to discuss something very important: HEALTHY weight loss. Now, I know what you’re probably thinking: “Isn’t all weight loss healthy?” Simple answer: no way!

UNHEALTHY weight loss involves losing a lot of weight quickly – which can lead to your body not getting the calories it needs to have enough vitamins and minerals. This can cause gall bladder problems, and a host
of other problems.

Just think about it for a moment: do you think people truly feel good when they’re on a “diet coke and chicken breast” diet? They’re likely to be pale, tired, and on edge!

On the other hand, Weight loss as a result of POSITIVE LIFESTYLE CHANGE will be more gradual.

You will see continuing improvements in your energy, moods, sleep, and how you feel about yourself. You skin will be smooth, your eyes glowing, and you will feel a true sense of wellness. So how much weight loss is considered healthy?

Simply put, you shouldn’t be losing more than 2-4 pounds per week. How can you accomplish that? Let’s do some numbers here: one pound of body fat is equivalent to 3500 calories.

A measly 100 calories a day above your energy needs adds up to a gain of about 2.5 pounds in 3 months; over the course of a year that would be a gain of 10 pounds a year. Add any additional calories and you have a steady weight gain that snuck up on you and accumulated over the years!

So how can you get rid of that excess fat and lose 2 pounds each week? To lose one pound each week, you would need to cut your calorie intake by 500 calories each day. 500 calories x 7 days/week= 3500 calories (Remember, 1 pound of body fat = 3500 calories) To lose an additional pound each week, you would need to further cut your calories or increase your energy burning by 500 calories each day.

So think about what you are willing to do – essentially eat a little less and exercise a little more! To REALLY speed up your weight loss (while still being healthy, of course), you need to include DETOX in your weight loss program.

During detox you will shed many more pounds. In fact, you could reasonably assume to lose as much as 5 pounds each week during detox as you flush toxins, decrease inflammation, and achieve your best metabolism.

Detox is a core component of the Silent-Sleep-System program, a program that I recently developed with Kathleen Bundy, M.Sc.. Kathleen is a full-time, experienced nutritionist/dietitian who has worked with
many sleep apnea sufferers to burn off their fat.

If you would like to learn more about this unique program (the only weight loss program designed specifically for sleep apnea sufferers), please sign up for the free 10-part mini-course on how to remedy sleep apnea/chronic snoring for good.

One of the biggest challenges I hear from people is that their sleep apnea saps their energy. Because they don’t get enough sleep during the night, they feel in a “fog” all day. Does that describe you? If so, this article is going to cover some dietary techniques and related foods that are traditionally very helpful as sleep apnea remedies.

There are two basic principles around eating for better sleep: don’t go to sleep too hungry or too full.

Try to eat about 3/4 of your food by about 3 o’clock in the afternoon; you can measure this as calories, volume of food, or carbohydrates. This will provide you energy throughout the day and set you up for a lighter meal at dinner time, which in turn will translate into a sleep apnea solution while you sleep.

Carbohydrates can promote relaxation, so try to eat some whole food carbohydrates with dinner, but not too much. Include some potatoes, yams, winter squash (such as spaghetti, butternut, or acorn), whole grains, or beans with your late meal. Generally, you want about 3 hours in between dinner and bedtime.

If you eat an early dinner and find yourself hungry before bedtime or if you wake up in the middle of the night with the urge to eat, be sure to give yourself a bedtime snack containing both protein and carbohydrate.

This could be a piece of whole grain toast with almond or peanut butter, plain yogurt with fresh fruit, whole grain crackers and cheese, protein powder blended with water and a whole piece of fruit, or even a warm glass of milk seasoned with cinnamon and vanilla extract.

We often treat afternoon lags in energy with caffeine or sugar. Unfortunately, these are just a quick fix; they may not even do the trick and can send us crashing later in the evening, compounding your sleep apnea problems.

Starting your day with too much caffeine and/or sugar and simple carbohydrate can set you up for a fall. So, once again, having a healthy balanced breakfast and lunch is the best way to prepare yourself for the 3 o’clock slump.

Instead of heading over to the Starbuck’s for some artificial energy, try to get yourself up and out for some fresh air. Take a little walk if you are able or at least go outdoors to do some light stretching and deep breathing. Take advantage of the spare moment to clear your head and renew your energy.

You can also try a green or herbal tea to refresh or step away from your desk and move your feet while you snack on a piece of fresh fruit.

A powdered greens drink is rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients and will give you a healthy, natural boost.

Experiment with different strategies and find what works best for you, maybe cutting down the size of your lunch and having a fresh peach is the key, or maybe green tea and deep breathing is your bag. Either way, try to nourish your energy naturally.

Staying hydrated is essential for balanced energy. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, avoid sweetened beverages and simple sugars such as soda, juice, or sweetened teas, and minimize your caffeine-containing beverages.

Foods that provide sustained energy and also help with weight loss are complex carbohydrates and lean protein such as whole grains, beans, eggs, and lean meat such as deli slices (“nitrate-free” of course). Combine any of these with a colorful variety of vegetables for a meal or snack that is sure to nourish and energize.

You may experiment with having one carb-free meal each day, either dinner or lunch. Some people find that a carb-free or very low carb lunch provides clearer energy later in the afternoon and a dinner consisting mostly of protein and vegetables with a small serving of complex, whole food carbohydrates sets them up for a more restful evening.

In this article I would like to talk about the number one best snoring remedy around, namely, weight loss. The reason it’s such an important principle in the battle to eliminate snoring and sleep apnea has to to with excess build-up of throat tissue muscle.

You see, as you gain weight, one of the most effected areas are the tissues that line the throat, and the tongue as well. Theses tissues tend to swell as you put on extra pounds, thus causing blockages to occur in the airways (both upper and lower), as you sleep.

The first question to consider is: what will change for you when you reach
your ideal weight? What is your ideal weight based on?

These are questions that need to be explored before you can determine
what a healthy and realistic weight is.

To travel well on your journey, you must have a destination in mind.
Establishing goals gives you direction and helps you determine
where to direct your time and energy.

Short term goals can give you daily guidelines for changing
behavior that will improve your health; achieving short term
goals will bring you closer and closer to your long term goals.

——————————————————-
Goals should be:
——————————————————–

- Realistic – A goal should be designed to be met. Think
realistically about what you will be able to accomplish, what
your priorities are, and where you are at.

Making realistic goals will provide opportunities for success
and keep you motivated to continue to change.

- Specific – A goal should be easy to understand and target
certain behaviors. Goals that focus on changing behavior are
more successful for promoting long-term behavior change and subsequently a long term snoring solution.

- Measureable – Give yourself numbers so you know how close
you are each week to meeting your goals. Use a specific number
of minutes you will exercise and the number of days you will do
that each week.

- Visible – Write your goals somewhere where you will see them,
on the bathroom mirror, the fridge, or in your day planner.

Talk about your goals, incorporate them into your conversation
and planning. For example “Sure, I’ll meet you for dinner at
6:30 after I’m done with my hour at the gym”.

- Flexible – Be able to revise your goals if somehow they are
not working for you.

For example, if your goal is to go for a walk after work 5 days
per week and you find yourself coming home and retiring to the
couch, revise your goal to either work out in the morning when
you have more energy or make your goal more simple, such as:

- just coming home and putting on your workout clothes and your
sneakers 5 days a week. You can see what happens after you’re
all suited up for action!

********************* IMPORTANT! *************************

Weight loss should not be a short term goal, but a natural
outcome of achieving a series of small goals over time.

**********************************************************

Take for example the goal to “Try 2 new vegetables this week”;
it is realistic, specific, you can measure it, and if you put it
on your grocery list, it is visible!

Now, your longer term goal may be related to weight, such as
“lose 2 lbs each week for the next month”.

Keeping that goal in mind, set small weekly goals to get you there,
such as “I will use my pedometer to walk X steps 3 days this week”.

Meeting 2-3 of those goals each week will likely result in reaching
your longer term weight loss goal!

———————————————————-
Wrapping Up
———————————————————

Setting goals and envisioning your life after weight loss is hugely
important, so here’s your homework for tonight (that’s right – there’s homework!):

Answer these questions thoughtfully:

1. Why do I want to lose weight now?

2. What changes will I have to make?

3. What will change if I lose weight?

4. What do others think about my weight? Do they help or hinder my efforts?

5. What else is going on in my life?

By thinking about these steps and taking action to follow through on a new routine, you’ll be well on your way towards the new healthier version of yourself. A version that that looks and feels a 100x better, and sleeps peacefully without chronically loud snoring the whole night through.

If you’ve ever felt like screaming out “stop my snoring” after waking up yet again in the middle of the night yet again because of your obnoxious chronic snoring affliction, then you have arrived at the best website out there dealing with how to cure and end snoring and sleep apnea…Forever.

You’re going to discover some little-known tips and strategies you can use to either rid yourself of snoring for good… or at the minimum be able to easily make the best decision about surgery (something only a tiny percent of snorers may need).

Did you know that snoring is one of the most overlooked health
risks people have today? It’s true.

In most cases, snoring isn’t just annoying, it has serious

Despite all of this, most people brush snoring off. It’s seen by
your life. But, also because it can often be eliminated easily.

Okay so I know this one is an obvious one but you will be amazed at
how many people doesn’t know about this. And even though it is
easier said than done – but if you want to quit snoring,
you should really try to cut down on the drinking and smoking!

The reason why drinking causes you to snore is because alcohol
causes a partial collapse on your airways which can immediate start
snoring.

Smoking on the other hand causes blockage on the small vessels of
the lungs and swelling on the tissue in the throat and mucus
membrane in the nose. Smoking can also result to sleep apnea.

So if you think of it this way – it will be much better for your
health and family members if you try and quit these two problems.

Okay so for being a smoker myself I know that it’s really NOT easy.
But I found an alternative to the problem and that is the
electronic cigarette. It has no harmful chemicals that the normal
cigarette does and is 99% safer that cigarettes. So I would urge
you to try it out for yourself!

As for the drinking – if you like to have a night cap before you go
to sleep then listen to this advice: Do not take night caps
anymore. It will make your snoring much worse!!

If you haven’t had a chance to sign up for my Free 10-part mini-course on how to permanently cure your snoring yet, you should take a second to do so. Here is some of the stuff that it will teach you:

1. Some amazing strengthening exercises for the tongue that will prevent it from falling into your throat…
a very common reason for snoring, and a very unhealthy and dangerous way of breathing in your sleep!

2. The 4 most effective exercises to expand your throat muscles to increase airflow.

3. How to quickly find out if you have an airway block in your nose, and 2 exercises to quickly start curing it.

3. The single most important thing you must know about a weak jaw that’s causing you to snore… heavily.

4. The real reason why your “soft palate” (that small, soft hanging tissue in the back of your mouth) can quickly start vibrating like a flag in the wind, making you snore all night long… and why wearing a device won’t work to prevent that!

If you can’t breath, you struggle for air. Oxygen is essential for all body functions. Labored breathing during your sleep causes snoring. Over-the-counter and prescription decongestants or antihistamines can help you avoid snoring by helping you to breath better while you sleep.

Decongestants to Stop Snoring

Congestion means your nose is stuffy. This can clog your ears, give you a sore throat and make you snore in your sleep.

Congestion might occur when you have allergies or other breathing problems. Decongestants are a popular snoring remedy for many individuals as they offer quick, temporary relief of nasal and sinus congestion, thus allowing easy breathing throughout the night. Talk to your physician about over-the-counter and prescription decongestants.

Decongestants can be administered orally or in a nasal spray. You may choose take a pill or capsule decongestant with a glass of water. Oral decongestants include over-the-counter Claritin-D.

Nasal sprays can also help you to avoid snoring. Products such as over-the-counter Afrin provide instant relief from sinus congestion. Just squirt the nasal spray in each nostril according to the directions to breathe better right away. Usually nasal decongestants are not used for longer than a week.

Possible side effects of decongestants include anxiety, irregular heartbeat, insomnia, dizziness, headache, tremors and increased blood pressure. If you experience any side effects, contact your doctor immediately.

Antihistamines to Stop Snoring

Antihistamines resemble decongestants because they are administered the same way. Antihistamines are given orally and in nasal sprays. However, antihistamines work differently than decongestants.

Histamine is the inflammatory chemical released by your immune system when you have an allergic reaction. Antihistamines block histamine to minimize allergy symptoms.

Antihistamines relieve congestion, labored breathing and related snoring. Antihistamines are available over-the-counter and by prescription. Discuss antihistamines with your doctors before you take them. Examples of antihistamines include Zyrtec, Tavist, Allegra and Astelin.

Possible side effects of antihistamines include fatigue, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, sore throat and nosebleeds.

Taking decongestants or antihistamines (you do not take both at one time) can relieve congestion to help you stop snoring.

For many, the problems associated with chronic snoring can translate into long restless nights of poor quality sleep, for both the snorer and their tormented partner. Sure, snoring can be the subject of comedy too, but for individuals who consistently snore loudly, it’s no joke. In reality this affliction can lead to serious health problems over time. In this article I would like to share with you what causes it, and a few tips that will help you learn how to stop snoring over the long term.

Their are basically a few main reasons why people snore. Probably the most common cause is the upper respiratory tract being blocked by the tongue as it slides back in your mouth while in a relaxed sleep breathing state. Another reason can be attributed to the throat tightening up or restricting while sleeping. Both though can cause significant congestion in the upper as well as lower breathing tracts. In a large number of cases this is caused by being over-weight, as this correlates directly to an extra buildup of throat tissue layer. This in turn restricts the amount of air that can pass through.

There are several techniques that can aid you with this specific problem and can be helpful to varying degrees depending on your specific situation. One of the most universally taught principles by doctors who specialize in chronic snoring and sleep apnea is that of proper head elevation while you sleep. It’s important to have your head in a slightly raised position as you sleep thereby allowing the tongue to be in a position that naturally prevents it from obstructing the throat and airway tracts.

Another approach utilizes oral inserts as a way of keeping the tongue from blocking down into the throat as you sleep. The obvious drawback to these products is that they can become quite uncomfortable to use night after night.

The most effective way to address snoring issues, in my opinion, is to focus on what causes the problem in the first place, and not simply trying to deal with the symptoms. As I mentioned earlier, weight issues are typically a prime suspect of the cause. Shedding even a little bit of extra weight can work wonders in eliminating snoring, not to mention the benefits it provides your overall health. Take it from someone who used to be very overweight, it works. Of course being overweight may not be the only reason for your snoring condition, but it can only help to pursue it.

Another popular method involves using a heated dehumidifier for your room. This apparatus basically keeps the muscles in your throat open by keeping them dilated through the night, allowing a larger volume of air to flow down the passage way. This can be a very useful solution for some, often showing immediate results. It will keep your bedroom a little toastier than normal so be prepared for that. All in all though it’s not very uncomfortable.

If you want to understand how to prevent snoring, you need to
understand the critical link between it and weight lose. For many
people, snoring occurs simply because they are
overweight. Consider the following news item that appeared
on the Philadelphia news wires in 2007:

“Americans Are the Fattest on Planet and the Loudest
Snorers on Earth – According to a Philadelphia Doctor!
Over 65 percent of adults over 18 are either overweight or
obese according to the Census Bureau Publication released on
December 15, 2006.”

During recent years, there has been a
tremendous explosion of patients diagnosed with sleep apnea,
based on a study performed at our center,” according to Dr.
Mansoor Madani, Director of the center for corrective surgery
who is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

“That places overweight people at a much higher risk of high
blood pressure, heart attack, stroke and diabetes as well as
chronic snoring,” adds Madani. Clearly, if you want to learn how
to prevent snoring this area of your life needs to be addressed.

One of the earliest signs of obstructive sleep apnea is snoring
and stopped-breathing at night. It has been estimated that
over 38,000 people die each year due to complications of apnea.

“There is no question in my mind that when you are excessively
overweight you have the potential for breathing problems while
you sleep, the amount of oxygen delivered to your vital organs,
including your heart and brain is reduced; increasing your
likelihood of heart attacks and strokes,” says Madani who is
internationally known as one of the pioneering surgeons in
treating snoring and sleep apnea.”

If you think your snoring might be down to your weight then check
out my Free 10-part mini-course on how to stop snoring for good.

Sometimes a move is all it takes to make a major change. We hear about changing our perspective to be successful in business or life. What about changing your position to stop snoring? Below I’ve listed a few helpful tips to stop snoring that you should think about employing in order to significantly reduce this problem in short order.

Get Back To Where You Belong To Stop Snoring

Do you sleep on your back? When we see Sleeping Beauty, she is always sleeping peacefully on her back. In the modern world, she might really be Snoring Beauty!

When you sleep on your back, your tongue could fall back into your mouth. This blocks your throat and the air passageway you need to breathe. An obstruction makes breathing and sleeping more difficult. The result is a snore that sounds like a foghorn!

A simple move such as sleeping on your side can make all the difference. The position of your tongue shifts to remove the unwanted obstruction. You breathe better so you don’t snore.

If sleeping on your side is easier said than done, you might need a little help. Sew something bulky to the back of your sleepwear so you won’t sleep on your back. When you turn over in your sleep, the bulk will bother you so you shift onto your side.

What if sleeping on your side doesn’t stop that awful snoring? You might want to consider getting an extra pillow.

Hold Your Head High To Stop Snoring

Adding an extra pillow or a thicker pillow lifts your head and neck. This simple change of position might be exactly what you need to stop snoring.

If your head and neck are improperly positioned, it can block your air passageways. Labored breathing means you’re more likely to snore. Shifting the position of your head and neck can open up your air passageway to breathe better.

Choose from specialized pillows, an extra pillow or a thicker pillow to shift the position of your head and neck. Imagine if a pillow stopped snoring and sleepless nights! It works for some snorers, but what if it doesn’t work for you? Our next installment discusses another accessible alternative to stop snoring.

Hopefully theses stop snoring tips will help you start getting a more restful nights sleep. I encourage you to sign up for my Free 10-part mini-course to learn about these and many other valuable keys to help you stop snoring for good.

While snoring may keep someone up at night, it’s thought that the opposite may be true as well – not sleeping properly in the first place can cause a person to snore more than usual. I would like to explore some stop snoring tips that will help you in this category. You see, when you’re uncomfortable for any reason, your nasal passages, throat, and lungs have a tendency to tense up, causing you to snore. And what’s more the chances are that you probably don’t even realize you’re tense!

People often give very little thought to their surroundings in the bedroom, and often treat this room as a storage facility or office. “Getting ready for bed” often entails simply slipping into pajamas, if even that.

However, the mind and body do sometimes need a bit of prompting in order to segue from a rushed and busy day to a relaxing night’s sleep. Simply demanding that your body fall asleep isn’t going to do it. In my experience the best stop snoring solutions always incorporate this idea.

So first, think about your bedroom itself and the atmosphere it creates. When it’s time to sleep, you want to relax, not be reminded of the laundry you need to do or the reports that need to be handed in next week. This means that you should never treat your bedroom as a storage room. Get out all the unnecessary clutter and other items. Put your laundry away and close the closet doors and dresser drawers. Have the kids put their toys someplace else.

If you must have a desk in your bedroom, make sure it’s neat and tidy and doesn’t detract from getting rest. Put away papers and books and turn the computer off.

Consider the physical atmosphere of your bedroom as well. Is it well-ventilated, warm enough or cool enough? Is it quiet? If you live in a high-traffic area you may consider keeping the windows closed at night and simply using a fan instead, or getting earplugs. Is the room dark enough? Even a small bit of light coming through the blinds can be enough to interrupt your sleep. Get dark curtains if necessary. What about your pajamas, linens, and bed itself? Are they comfortable and clean?

You may also need to take a few extra steps to help yourself relax before going to bed – more so than just flipping off the TV, that is! Consider spending 15 minutes reading a favorite novel, doing a crossword or other puzzle, or something else that will help relax you. Close your eyes and listen to soft music, or if you’re so inclined, meditate or pray. Tell yourself that this small ritual or routine means that it’s time for sleep, and your body will soon follow suit.

And do whatever you can to keep from bringing stress into the bedroom. If you’ve had an argument with your spouse or children or someone else, mentally tell yourself that you’re setting the disagreement aside for now, even if it hasn’t been resolved. We’ve all heard the saying, “Never go to bed angry,” and this is good advice even if there’s resolution or answer to our concerns. Tell yourself (and your spouse) that tomorrow is another day and you’ll accomplish nothing by fuming all night. You may even find that a good’s night sleep has put the argument into perspective and things have cooled off by the next day!

Hopefully theses stop snoring tips will help you start getting a more restful nights sleep. I encourage you to sign up for my Free 10-part mini-course to learn about these and many other valuable keys to help you stop snoring for good.

The goal of this article is to teach you some of the most effective snoring exercises that I’ve found during the quest to end my own chronic snoring problems. Hopefully they’ll work as well for you as they have for me.

The lungs may be organs, but they benefit from being stretched and worked just like muscles. So before going to bed, try this: Sit at the edge of your bed or a chair. Make sure your posture is upright but not too stiff. Your feet should be flat on the floor, your legs uncrossed. Take a deep breath and slowly exhale through your nose only. Repeat this twice.

Next, gently roll your neck to the right side, then to the front, shift over to the left (nice and slow), and finish by rotating to the back. So that you complete one full circle. Be sure not to yank your muscles to hard while engaging in this exercise, the idea is to simply stretch out your neck muscles nice and easy. Do this a few times. Perform the deep breathing techniques several more times as well.

It’s now time to move on to the next exercise. Start by slowly rolling your shoulders backwards and then to the front, in a circle. Just as with the exercise you did with your neck, the idea here is to do this movement in a gentle but deliberate manner. You’re not trying to injure yourself with these movements, but to stretch out the muscles nice and easy. Try to do this at least 2 to 3 times.

Continue to focus on your breathing, and as you do, start to take deep breathes through your nose filling your lungs until they are full and hold it for five seconds. You should feel your entire mid-section expand during this process. Now, gently exhale back through your nose, releasing the air slowly as you count to five. The key to this exercise is to breathe in and out in a slow and controlled manner, never doing it to suddenly or overly fast . If you do it correctly, you’ll feel it down to your core as the body receives all of that vital oxygen that is so important for you to take in. As with the other exercises, try to repeat this step several times.

Of course these snoring exercises can do wonders for your mind and body at any point in the day, but it’s especially important to do them shortly before going to bed in order to receive the maximum benefits as it relates to eliminating snoring. You will pleasantly surprised at how much these techniques can help your snoring problem if you get into the habit of doing them on a nightly basis.

Unfortunately I can only cover so much information in an article like this. But I do get into a lot more technical depth in my free 10-part mini-course on how to eliminate snoring permanently. I encourage you to sign up for it today and learn for yourself how to conquer this irritating affliction once and for all.

We might not even know we snore if it weren’t for others. Our families and partners let us know about those disturbing sounds in the night. Unfortunately, your sleeping problem winds up disrupting others as you jeopardize your own health. Below I’ve provided a brief but solid overview of some of the more common causes of chronic snoring and some effective stop snoring remedies that I’ve been able to find during my research.

When you find out you snore, it’s time to figure out why. Occasional snoring is normal. There is an underlying reason for ongoing snoring. Finding it helps you stop snoring so everyone gets a peaceful sleep.

A few of the possible reasons you snore are:

taking sleeping pills, sedatives or drinking alcohol before bedtime;

allergies, sinus infections, colds or other breathing problems;

sleeping on your back with your tongue falling to the back of your mouth, blocking your ability to breathe;

being overweight with a layer of fat around the neck making breathing more difficult;

nasal deformity such as a deviated septum or other nasal problem;

an anatomical issue obstructing your breathing such as a softened palate; and

sleep apnea, a condition when you stop breathing for ten seconds or more multiple times during your sleep.

A process of trial and error will help you find out the reasons for your snoring. What if you lose ten pounds and stop sleeping on your back but still snore? It is time to visit a doctor to talk about your problem. A medical professional may suggest a sleep lab with sleep testing to get to the root of your problem.

Snoring can become more than a nuisance to yourself and your loved ones. Snoring and related conditions can cause major health problems when left unattended.

For example, if you stop breathing during the night you put a strain on your heart. The long-term result could be an irregular heartbeat, heart attack or stroke. Fortunately, there are several ways medical professionals can help sleep apnea patients.

I encourage you to sign up for my free 10-part mini-course on how to stop snoring for good. It covers the subject in much more detail than I can get into here, and provides the some of the most cutting edge techniques known in the medical community dealing with the subject of stop snoring remedies. No Gimmicks or tricks here, just good solid information that will help you on the road to sleeping peacefully in a short amount of time.

If your partner is frustrated because of your snoring, then you are amongst 40 % of people on this earth that has a snoring problem. People all around the world are trying to find a cure for this problem. Before finding a stop snoring solution, let us look at the reasons for the problem. In the period of sleep, breathing and heart rates slow down comparatively and our muscles relax. In the throat this results in the soft palate, a small area of skin, to turn into limp and flaccid tissue. It is this soft palate that vibrates in the airflow during the throat when you respire, causing the sound we know as snoring.

There are different varieties of stop snoring solutions available in the market. The age old stop snoring solutions have proved to be quite beneficial in getting rid of the problem. The natural solutions are considered to be better than some medication and some of the devices that are available. This because of the fact that, although most of the companies claim a good success rate for these products, the actual success rate of the products is not accurately known. Moreover, there is always a risk of side effects when using the products.

So, first of all, let us talk about the safe stop snoring solutions that do not have any side effects. These are age old techniques that are tried by our elders. One such stop snoring solution is having a correct sleeping posture. If you snore, then probably you sleep on your back. Sleeping on your back allows the mouth or throat tissue and tongue to fall down into the throat and block the airway. You should sleep with your bed tilted so that your head is raised a bit upwards. Sleeping with your head raised may take some of the pressure off the airway, making breathing easier and reducing snoring. Additionally, avoiding the use of thick pillow can stop your snoring.

Another stop snoring solution is abstaining from alcohol and smoking. Alcohol and sleeping pills can depress your central nervous system and loosen up the muscles of your jaw and throat, making snoring more likely. Smoking and alcohol can increase the production of mucus, which can add to the restriction of the airways. So quitting smoking and alcohol is a sure solution to stop snoring.

Another stop snoring solution is exercise. Obesity is another factor that leads to snoring. Actually the excessive flab around the neck obstructs the air passage and thus it results in snoring. So take care of your diet and follow a healthy routine to stop snoring. There are exercises that aim at strengthening your jaw and throat muscles and provide a good solution to snoring.

Other than these solutions there are a whole lot of snore stop solutions available in the market like the nasal drops that help in getting rid of nasal congestion that is the major cause of snoring. There are anti snoring pillows available in the market that provides you with the correct sleeping height for the head. Another stop snoring solution available is a mouth guard. This holds your teeth together thus preventing your jaws from falling down. All these products can claim some success and it is up to the individual to find the best remedy.

Do you snore really loud when you sleep? or perhaps your significant other is preventing you from sleeping soundly because they snore like a chainsaw. Heck, even children can develop a chronic snoring issue that can become a long term problem if not treated properly. Most people don’t realize that snoring can turn into a potentially harmful condition like sleep apnea for certain people. If you are one of 40 million other Americans who suffer from this affliction or know someone who does, a stop snoring extinguisher might be in order.

Snoring occurs when the soft tissues in your throat vibrate while you sleep, usually because these same tissues become enlarged and restrict the amount of air that can pass through your airway. And though chronic snoring is most often associated with men, statistics show that many women suffer from it as well. One thing that is often a contributing factor for both men and women is being overweight. It’s not the only cause, but it is by far the the most common. A stop snoring extinguisher can be an ideal solution for those who’s snoring is a direct result of being overweight.

Essentially this is an elastic device that you wear around your head while you sleep that supports your lower jaw in an upward position, thereby increasing the three dimensional space in your airway. This in turn reduces the velocity of air and soft tissue vibration in your throat.

Furthermore, as you aged and grow older, you are more risky to suffer this snoring problem. In addition to that, if you suffer from a nasal related disorder then you can possibly have difficulties in breathing, thus increase your possibility to snore. One of the popular remedies for this kind of condition is the snore stop extinguisher.

There are different kinds of anti snoring remedies available in the market today and all of them are effective in their own way. You only need to point out the type of your snoring disorder so that you can purchase the right snore stop extinguisher for you. It is best if you can discuss this with your doctor to be able to find the correct treatment or remedy for your problem.

As said earlier, old age is another factor that cause snoring problem because as you aged, your muscles become weaker and sag. This can cause vibrations that can produce noisy sounds when you are asleep. Snore stop extinguisher can help you in tightening your muscles.

Another factor that can cause snoring is excessive smoking, drinking alcohol, as well as consuming anti depressant drugs like antihistamines and sleeping pills. These things can trigger snoring. Of course, as you all know, there are various health risks that these things can cause aside from snoring and they are life threatening.

The snore stop extinguisher for preventing snore is an excellent option to eliminate your problem. This extinguisher is an oral mist that can help eliminates all the symptoms and signs of this sleeping disorder. As a matter of fact, this does not have side effects. You just spray the device under your tongue and at the back of your throat for effective relief.

The snore stop extinguisher consists of mixtures of purified water, potassium sorbate, histaminum, hydrochoricum, and ephedra vulgaris. You only need to read and follow the instructions carefully because the usage varies according to your weight and age. Shake the device well before spraying thirty minutes before going to bed. Just remember to use it as instructed. Also, talk to your physician so that if you developed some allergies or this remedy does not cure you, your doctor can alter his or her prescription.

Although, we can say that these anti snoring remedies are effective, you can have a different reaction to any of them so sometimes you only need to do a trial and error to find the most suitable treatment and remedy for your snoring type condition. However, the snore stop extinguisher is proven to be effective in controlling your snoring.

If you suffer from the obnoxious affliction known as snoring, then quite possibly you’ve already looked into some of the top stop snoring remedies on the market to aid you in a solution for it. But with so many stop snoring products currently flooding the market it can be a little tricky determining which one will work best for your situation. Lets explore in a little more detail the pros and cons of these various products.

Snoring Sprays

•	Many people suffer from snoring as a result of their throat tissues drying out during sleep. Noise is generated by the soft palate vibrating against the back of the throat or base of the tongue.
•	These sprays essentially lubricate the throat with natural oils while sleeping which effectively dampens or gets rid of the vibrations all together.
•	These sprays can be useful for up to eight hours and generally range in price from 15-30 dollars.

Sleep Masks

•	Also known as CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) sleep masks, these devises help you sleep snore free by preventing the muscles in your throat from restricting (it essentially pumps air down your throat), thus allowing continuous air flow to take place while sleeping.
•	These devices do work great generally speaking, but at a big cost to your wallet and basic comfort level. Speaking from personal experience I can tell you that they are quite inconvenient to use and not too comfortable, but some people I’ve talked to don’t seem to mind them, so in the end I guess it’s just a personal choice. You can expect to pay anywhere from 1000-1500 dollars for good system.

Mouth Pieces

•	Another popular snoring product is the anti-snoring mouth piece, also known as mandibular advancement splints – They have provided a real solution for many snorers, including those suffering from mild or moderate obstructive sleep apnea for years. Essentially they are small plastic devices situated in the mouth during sleep to prevent the soft throat tissues from collapsing and obstructing the airway. They do this by bringing your lower jaw forward and/or by lifting your soft palate. Some devices also stop the tongue from falling back over your windpipe.
•	The FDA seems to have colluded with dentists in making mouthpieces a prescription item — so you’ll either have to order from a non-US website or talk your dentist into writing you a prescription for a cheaper device.

Sleep Pillows

•	These pillows are made to keep the head and neck in alignment and promote a peaceful nights rest.
•	The shape of the surface of a snoring pillow often includes a recessed area that is designed to hold the head and neck in a stationary position during sleep. This particular design is great for individuals who prefer to sleep on their backs. A contoured snoring pillow often provides some support for the upper back, which helps to keep the neck properly aligned.
•	Purchasing a snoring pillow is easy. Many medical supply stores carry at least a couple of different designs. In addition, it is not unusual for drugstores to sell at least one brand or model of these various snoring products.

For someone who snores and those around them, snoring is a problem. Not everyone snores on a regular basis but, most likely, everyone has snored at least once in their lives due to a cold or congestion. Being the snorer or partner that has to spend their nights sleeping next to a snorer, it is understandable why they would like to understand what it is that make people snore and how to stop it.

Many different things make people snore. One reason that people tend to snore is because their nasal airways are obstructed. Obstructed airways can be the result of allergies, colds or a sinus infection. It can also be due to physical deformities like nasal polyps or a deviated septum. A deviated septum is a structural change in the thin wall in your nose that separates one nostril from the other.

Other people might snore due to their throat or their tongue. One of these structures might become too relaxed then collapse and gall back into your airway causing you to snore. Another way that anatomy might determine whether you are a snorer or not, has to do with the palate of your mouth. The palate is the tissue that forms the roof of your mouth. If it is too long or soft, it might be making the opening from the nose to the throat narrower causing snoring. The snoring sound comes from the air causing vibrations within the mouth, nose or throat. Because of these structural problems, the airflow is causing the tissue to vibrate and the result is the snoring sound.

But is snoring really that harmful to your body? Well, if it is causing one to not get a full night’s sleep, it might be. Snoring is a direct result of a breathing problem. Breathing problems can lead to sleep deprivation for the snorer or their partner. Sleep deprivation or not getting enough sleep can lead to not only drowsiness during the day but clumsiness, overall fatigue and weight loss. Prolonged sleep deprivation can cause headaches, dry mouth or even hallucinations. It can make you nauseous, dizzy or irritable. Prolonged sleep deprivation can also cause you to have memory loss or lapse. Plus it can lead to other physical problems like weight gain or obesity, muscle aches or it could put you at risk for high blood pressure, diabetes, or fibromyalgia. In extreme cases psychosis has been seen or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Due to the high risk of health problems that can be seen die to interrupted sleep, it is important to take snoring seriously. If you are constantly waking up during the night, I might be your snoring that is the cause. It can be hard to detect since the second the snorer wakes up, obviously, the snoring stops. Ignoring this problem will not make it go away. It might be in your best interest to see your doctor or dentist to help you to diagnose the reason why you might be snoring. You might also want to visit a sleep clinic that might not only diagnose the reason why you snore but also diagnose any other related health problems that you might be suffering from due to your snoring or that might be the reason for your snoring.

Snoring while you sleep can be disturbing to your partner and frustrating for you. Many people are tired of this affliction and are looking for ways to end their noisy nights. Today, there are many devices on the market that proclaim that they can stop people from snoring. But, with so many different choices it is hard to say which one is the best one. Plus, how do you know which ones are the right ones to use.

Although snoring is a common problem, most people do not know what the real cause of snoring is. Snoring is caused by several different things. It could be due to an obstructed nasal airway or partially blocked sinus passages. Snoring could be due to poor muscle tone in the throat or tongue. Or snoring can be due to a long soft palate or vulva. Obesity can also make snoring worse. With so many different causes of snoring, it would make sense that there would be many different anti-snoring devices specifically geared to each cause. Depending on the reasons why you snore will determine which one will work best for you.

Many anti-snoring devices are made specifically to combat the problem of an obstructed nasal airway or blocked sinus passages. One of the most popular anti snoring remedies is nasal strips. These are non-prescription, drug-free small bands of plastic that works by lifting and widening the space in the nasal valve when it is properly placed across the nose. Another solution to clear blocked nasal passages is to use nose sprays or drops to reduce nasal secretions. These types of solutions will also reduce swelling in your nasal passages and can soften the mucous membranes and lightly tighten the musculature of the throat.

The effects of someone who snores due to poor muscle tone in the throat or the tongue can typically be heard because the person sleeps with their mouth open. In order to combat this particular snoring problem, manufacturers have created a device called a chin strap. Chin straps are typically made of stretchy neoprene and it assists in keeping the jaw and mouth closed which forces the snorer to breathe naturally through the nasal passage. The chin strap wraps around the chin and the back of the head to secure the jaw and mouth shut.

Snoring due to a long soft palate or vulva might have to be controlled by helping to reshape the mouth with an anti-snoring device. A mouthpiece is one of these specific types of devices. Mouthpiece devices, also known as dental appliances or mandibular advancement splints, are typically a small plastic device worn in the mouth during sleep. Its purpose is to prevent the soft throat tissues from collapsing and obstructing the airway. This is accomplished by bringing your lower jaw forward and by lifting your soft palate.

The only real way to know how to treat your snoring problems is to first figure out the reason why you snore. In order to do this, you should see an ear nose and throat doctor (ENT) or your dentist. They will be able to offer a clear explanation for your snoring problem and suggest the right treatment for you.

It is hard to label one specific stop snoring method, device or remedy as the best one since there are so many different reasons why people snore and many different ways to relieve the problem. Rather then asking what is the best stop snoring remedy it might be better to ask what is the right stop snoring remedy for you.

Some people have relieved or eliminated their snoring problems by simply changing their life style to combat the problem. Simply changing the position in which one sleeps may be all that is needed. Moving from your back onto your side may help to alleviate snoring. You might want to try buying a new mattress or pillow which will supply better essential support for your head and neck to alleviate snoring. Losing body weight has been proven to relieve snoring. Riding your body of pressure causing fat around the throat and the diaphragm will reduce the snoring that one produces in sleep. Quitting smoking which impairs breathing will make you snore less as well. Minimize alcohol before bed time. The alcohol relaxes your tongue and your breathing passages causing your to snore. Plus, some people have found that by eliminating the amount of dairy that they eat, they were able to relieve some of the congestion that they normally suffer from and reduce the amount that they snore. And although yogurt is a dairy product, by adding more yogurts into one’s diet helps to bust their immune system which will reduce sickness and congestion as well.

Some people have found that by using simple over the counter devices have helped them alleviate their snoring problems as well. Using a nasal spray offers instant relief from nasal congestion that causes ones airway to be obstructed leading to snoring. Buying over the counter nasal strips is an easy way to open air passageways allowing you to breathe easier without snoring. Purchasing a humidifier or a vaporizer that emits steam and fragrance into the air will also help to alleviate congestion and minimize snoring.

While some have easily seen benefits to their snoring with simple life changes or simple over the counter purchases, other people have had to be a little bit more aggressive in their quest to stop their snoring problems. Some people have turned to purchasing devices to help them stop snoring. One such device is a chin strap. The chin strap forces them to keep their mouth closed while they sleep forcing them to breathe through their nose and eliminate snoring. Others have found that using an oral device to help them realign their mouth and support their mouth structures have led them to a blissful night sleep. And some sufferers have found that their only alternative to relieve their snoring has only come through surgery. Surgery to remove the soft tissue that obstructs ones airways such as tonsils or adenoids have improved snoring in many people. Some have even had their soft palates or tongues repositioned to clear obstructions making one breathe easier and snore less.

One of the reasons that people snore is due to the structure of their mouths. Naturally people breathe through their noses but, while sleeping, some people tend to be open mouth breathers. Through no fault of their own, snorers can disrupt the tranquility of sleep for themselves and those around them. Rather then spending money on devices that may or may not work to help them stop snoring, many people have made the wise choice to correct the root of the problem and fix their mouth structures through exercise.

There are several causes of why someone’s structure of their mouths would cause them to snore. One is that they may have a soft palate. It is the soft muscle tissue that forms the roof of your mouth. Too soft of a palate and it will cause the air to vibrate as it passes while sleeping. Another reason might be that they have narrow airways. Narrow airways can be caused by swollen tonsils or adenoids in the back of your throat. The air is vibrated as you breathe once again causing one to snore. And yet another reason that one’s mouth structure might cause them to snore might be due to your tongue. If one’s tongue is not attached tightly to the mandible bone, it may cause vibrations that result in snoring as well.

Several different exercises have been found useful to help strengthen certain areas of the mouth or throat to reduce snoring. Exercises that singers use to strength their voice can also be use to relieve snoring. Sing la la la la at the top of your voice making sure to hold each note for at least three seconds. Repeating this exercise 5 times daily will strengthen your throat and soft palate lessening the vibrations as the air passes during sleep. You can also try strengthening your tongue by stretching it out as far as you can and hold it there for a few seconds before you relax it. Then try to touch your chin, hold it a few seconds and then try to touch your nose, once again holding it there for a few seconds. Repeat this exercise ten times daily. Plus, try exercising your lower jaw to relieve snoring. Protrude the lower jaw as far as you can and count to ten. Relax your jaw then hold your jaw closed with your hands as you try to open it. Hold this position for the count of ten then repeat the entire exercise. It has also been found recently that playing woodwind instruments may aid in the efforts to stop snoring.

General exercise and general weight loss can also improve one’s snoring problem. It ahs been found that obesity contributes to snoring as well. Those who are overweight will snore because of the fatty tissue that is on and around their neck partially obstructing the airways and adding pressure to the diaphragm. Getting into a regular exercise routine is not only beneficial to reduce snoring it is beneficial to the overall health of the person.

There are so many different reasons why someone might be snoring. In order to reduce the effect that snoring has on you or your partner, people have sought out different aids to help them concur their snoring problems.

There are many different aids on the market today that will help people reduce or eliminate their snoring problems. There are also snoring aids that are designed to help one’s partner deal with snoring problems. One of the simplest solutions is ear plugs. When faced with sleepless night due to their partner’s snoring, some people have turned to using ear plugs when they are sleeping so that they will no longer be woken up by their noisy snoring partner. Simple silicon rubber earplugs are available over the counter to help soften the noise of snoring. There are also specialized earplugs that are designed to lessen sound of your partner’s snoring but will still allow the wearer to hear other sounds such as an alarm clock in the morning.

Several over the counter aids are available for those who would like to stop snoring. One such aid is a nasal spray. These sprays are typically saline based and are designed to clear up your nasal passages to relieve snoring. Nasal strips on the other hand, are a simple stop snoring aid that just helps to keep the nasal passages open. They are an adhesive plastic strip that is placed over the nose to hold the nostrils open during sleep.

Other sufferers have turned to natural stop snoring aids rather then buying a product sold over the counter. Some of these natural stop snoring aids include herbs. Peppermint oil made from the peppermint herb can be rubbed into the lower portions of each side of the nose to help aid in the reduction of snoring. By inhaling the peppermint oil, snoring is relieved due to the effect that the peppermint has on reducing the swelling in the membranes of the liming of your nostrils. Other such oils that can be used in the same way are eucalyptus oil or coconut oil. Surprisingly, olive oil is something that can also reduce snoring. By drinking two to three sips of olive oil every night before you go to sleep can lessen the vibrations in your throat that lead to snoring. Plus, the simplicity of steam might be the thing that one needs in order to stop snoring. Inhaling steam will relieve some of the congestion and reducing the possibility of snoring. People have also found that by adding natural ingredients like apple cider vinegar to the steam enhances its effect on the snorer. Adding a few sage leaves to the boiling water will also maximize the effects of the steam. A neti pot might be the answer you are looking for to reduce the amount that you snore. A neti pot is a small device made of plastic, metal or ceramic that is used to flush out nasal cavities with a saline solution. It has been successfully used to irrigate sinuses, treat colds, allergies and rhinitis. If you snore because your nasal passages are blocked due to one of these afflictions, a neti pot might be the right thing for you.

While some people have been able to adjust their sleeping habits in order to find simple ways to alleviate their snoring, other people have tried device after device and life style change after lifestyle change with no end in sight and no results. Their only choice has been to look for professional help to help them stop snoring. But, where can one find the kind of help that is needed to stop snoring?

The first step to finding help to stop snoring is to visit your normal health care provider or dentist. Reasons why people snore come from a myriad of different problems. You might have a guess as to what your specific problem is but there would be no way of actually proving that you are right and treating yourself in the right way. By visiting your doctor or your dentist, they can examine your mouth throat and nose and give you a better explanation of why you are snoring. Once you have a definite reason for your snoring problem, pining down a treatment just got easier. Your doctor or dentist will be able to suggest the right treatment for you.

But, sometimes snoring is part of a larger sleep disorder or physical health problem. One of the treatments that your doctor may suggest is going to a sleep lab to determine why you are snoring. A sleep laboratory conducts sleep studies to find out what happens to your body while you are sleeping. The studies will reveal the source of your sleep problems and why you snoring. The lab looks for several things in a n individual. Is this person snoring due to sleep apnea? When someone had sleep apnea they actually stop breathing from anywhere between 10 and 90 seconds and catch their breath with a loud snort or snore. It is narrow airways or brain signals regulating breathing that causes sleep apnea. Obviously this is a very dangerous condition that should be monitored closely. Sleep labs will also look to see if someone is suffering from insomnia. Insomnia is the label given to the problem of one going to sleep or remaining asleep through the night. This might be due to depression, discomfort, hunger or even stress. Narcolepsy is the opposite of insomnia in which the person has problems staying awake. The person might unexpectedly fall asleep. Sleep labs will also look for problems such as bed wetting, sleepwalking or night terrors. Another thing that the lab can diagnose is if the person is suffering from snoring problems due to rotating shifts at work. Many jobs have their workers rotate between day time shifts and night time shifts that will disrupt their normal sleeping pattern. This leads to a disorder known as shrift work sleep disorder. Plus, the sleep lab looks for sleeping problems that are related to repeated muscle twitching of your legs, arms or your feet while you are sleeping. This condition is known as periodic limb movement disorder. These twitches might be interrupting the person’s normal sleep cycle making getting a full and restful night sleep impossible which may be leading to the person’s snoring problem.
